Alda Emilia Gomes Pontes. After 4 years by your side, I can confidently say that you are a fighter and a chaser. You hustle for the things that matter and you chase after the things you want. It is because of this spirit that we met. You saw me going to the bathroom and you came after what you wanted.
When I first met you, I was seeking zen. I was going through a tranquil phase. But this tranquility was a coping mechanism. It was a way for me to escape the uncertainties and the big questions in life. I didn’t know how to spend my time and I couldn’t see a future beyond a few months.
Seeing this persistence in action, I started to realize that life isn’t just a series of events that happen to you, it is also a result of the goals you pursue and the opportunities that you create for yourself. Spending time with you, some of these habits have rubbed off on me too.
By your side, I feel so much stronger. I feel empowered to ask the bigger questions and to have hard conversations with myself and with other people. I know that with this jadu and with your support I can accomplish so much more. I can’t imagine tackling life surprises without us being on the same team.
